It’s not often I am off grid, but the last 10 days I have been traveling as a chaperone and staff member with the Danvers HS Marching Band, who was invited to perform at Pearl Harbor to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the bombings. Unfortunately I was having e-mail problems in the run up to the trip. I brought my laptop and fully expected to get in touch with everyone while I was away, but the Wifi situation at the hotel was unbelievably bad. I couldn’t access anything. Well, except Youtube, which didn’t help much. We were also gone all day long, so it was really hard to do anything. By Wednesday I literally gave up trying. We were pretty much on call 18-20 hours a day helping, chaperoning, etc. It was an amazing time, but I ended up getting sick of course, so now that I am back, I am feeling like a truck hit me. Many kids and parents were getting sick when we flew out there and it just got worse over the course of the trip. Hoorah! (not)
I just wanted to say thank you in advance for your understanding, it could take me all week just to get through everybody’s e-mails. We will be back on track again next week.
Mahalo all,
Lauren
