Last night we celebrated the studio’s 2 year anniversary with an after-hours event through the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce. We had a bumper turnout with nearly 40 people coming over the course of the evening.
I have always been loathe to rent studio space. For 10 years I had been operating a studio out of my home or by just going to off-site locations. Entering into a lease filled me with great trepidation – landlords like paying paid on the same day each month, yet being self-employed makes it such that that might be the case! But thanks to my friends at the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce and my other networking associations like NSNA and the North Shore Business Forum, I have been able to keep the studio afloat, and for that, I thank you all.
To celebrate, we hosted a little soiree. We had finger subs from Betty Ann’s Sub Shop, fruit-veg platters, cookies, beer and wine – and of course CARAMELS de Bouchard, which went immediately. We gave out about 8 “I GOT FLASHED AT LAUREN POUSSARD PHOTOGRAPHY” t-shirts and my daughters Zoe and Elodie along with BFf Aurora manned, or should I say “girled” a PHOTO BOOTH. The pics are hilarious – I will be sure to post more over the weekend.
I want to especially thank Bryan Roman from northeastink.com for expediting the shirts – he literally had them done in a day, which is unreal. Richard Vincent from Keller Williams helped by running around and getting the ice, water and beverages – what a godsend. And Kate Hannisian from bluepencilconsulting.com helped out with all the paper products. I truly could not have pulled it off without their help, the two weeks leading to the event were simply outrageous. So thank you thank you thank you!!!
Finally, I cannot express enough my gratitude to everyone who came (and those who couldn’t be there). It is because of you I have been able to not just keep the landlord happy, but take things to the next level. Your support, trust, business, and more importantly friendship make business more than just a pleasure and I thank you.
