I always love the first day back in the studio after the new year. I backup the previous year’s images (again) and make that new entry on the server “2015”. A blank folder, much like a blank canvas – just what will we get up to this year I wonder! As I spent the holiday season in bed with the flu, i took some time to give my website a little makeover. If you have been here before you may notice, it’s never the same thing twice. I am always looking to exploit the lastest themes and technologies, and I like to hash them out on my site before offering them up to people. As you can see, we can integrate video onto your sites now – how fun is that!
I would like to thank all of your for making 2014 our most successful year ever. It was also a transition year as we shifted to include more services, things I have always done ‘in the background’ or ‘on the side’, like design and websites.
Way back when I had a “normal” job, I was always asked to help with design work, mainly because I was proficient with computers at an early age and also artistic. Hindsight being what it is, I should have gone to college for graphic design, but I fell into computers, databases, infrastructure and networking, and actually loved it, so there you go. Whilst a Network Manager for a major manufacturing company, I also got into designing websites, primarily for internal use as documentation servers. I would take pictures of the computer rooms and make image maps of the racks so that a click would bring you to the technical documentation and configuration for that specific piece of equipment. Even then, I was combining my technical skills with the photography/artistic skills, so to be able to offer all of these things now only makes sense.
So, here’s to 2015!
Wishing you and yours much success and happiness this year and beyond.
Lauren
