I don’t know who nominated me, but I want to thank you very much for considering me for the 2014 Sole Proprietor of the Year in the Greater Beverly Business arena.
If you are a sole proprietor you will well know there are many days you kick yourself and think “what the #@$%^& am I doing??” It can be either fast or famine. Some days you feel like you can never do enough, the next you are on top of the world because something “worked”.
I have had corporate jobs and the jet-setting career, and although I enjoyed the heck out of it, there are few things more rewarding then seeing somebody smile because of something you created or did for them. Photography is so personal – I always hold my breath when somebody sees their proofs for the first time – my god, what if they don’t like my perspective??!? So far, in 12 years I can count the retakes on less than one hand, so that has to be a good sign!
Again, I thank you for the nomination, to the selection committee for your consideration, and to all my clients (friends!) who let me take my creativity out on them.
