Perhaps the most important way to make a memorable impression on our potential clients is with a compelling headshot or professional business portrait. These days, clients want to know who they are going to do business with – are they confident, easy-going, reliable and trustworthy? Alot of this will come through in a beautifully captured portrait.
Our goal for every session is to get your personality to shine through so that a little bit of who you are and what you are all about is conveyed, after all people want to do business with somebody they like and trust. And, there are ALOT of realtors out there – you really want to stand above your competition.
Some tips for our shoot:
- Relax! We’re going to have fun! It’s not as painful as you think and it will be over before you even realize we’ve started!
- Dress in something you feel great in. There are alot of rules of what to wear, not to wear – I say “meh”. If you feel good in something that will come through, so wear whatever. Frankly, my goal is to have everyone looking at your eyes – they will barely notice what you’re wearing!
- Which means, less jewelry ladies – it can lead the eye away from your face.
- If you are of a certain size… you know what I mean…. ladies, wear a collared blouse and bring a pashmina. Gents, please be sure your blazer fits properly ( I’m in the same camp, you love a jacket, but maybe it’s gotten a little tight lately, you keep wearing it… but it really doesn’t photograph well so rethink that outfit if it’s a bit tight!)
Beyond the Headshot
Brokerages are also looking for more than just a headshot, some require full-length shots as well. You may need to create other marketing materials – so talk to us first so we can allocate enough time for options and plan that shoot out ahead of time.
Inside or Out?
The trend to go outside for portraits is huge right now. We can certainly make use of our surroundings and plan a shoot outside on a nice day. Sometimes keeping it simple is a good option too – a clean white background in the studio will look terrific on your website and won’t clash with your logo or branding color schemes. We can create an extended shoot that incorporates both inside and outside so you have some options.
